For the 50th anniversary of Robert Shipman Thurston Jr. Memorial Chapel, Punahou has republished this book, updated from the 1973 version, celebrating the history of the Chapel and the artistry of the copper panels which grace the koa entrance doors.

This 88-page book includes archival photos, profiles of architect Vladimir Ossipoff and artists Jean Charlot and Evelyn Giddings. It includes recent photographs of each of the door’s panels with the personal reflections of Jean Charlot.
